Fracking natural gas companies in central Arkansas have agreed to temporarily suspend their use of hydraulic fracturing technology.The suspension was negotiated after the strongest quake in Arkansas in the past 35 years - a magnitude 4.7 quake - hit the area around Greenbrier and Guy, Arkansas.

Atlantis, Spain

Ok, many people have laid claims to the discovery of Atlantis over the years. More than forty-five locations around the world have been identified as possible sites for the advanced civilization, such as Bimini Island near Bermuda or the Azores. 

But I have to admit this is, in my opinion the most compelling and accurate guess so far. A recent find in the vast mudflats of the Guadalquivir River Delta in South Western Spain reveals what seems to be the remains of a strange geometric ringed city barely 10 metres above sea level. There is evidence of Earthquakes and Tsunamis at this site and the possibility that Atlantis is buried underneath the mud, capsuled in time. Would it not be amazing to finally solve the mystery of Atlantis ?, And if it does exist, it most likely could not look up to its reputation as being the Heaven-like Marble palace that today's society envisions it to be, though it would be a great Historical find!

After some 400 years of relative stability, Earth's North Magnetic Pole has moved nearly 1,100 kilometers out into the Arctic Ocean during the last century and at its present rate could move from northern Canada to Siberia within the next half-century. Tampa International Airport has recently updated its runway compass markings. Could other airports be far behind?

The overall magnetic field has been decreasing as well. Scientists have only been able to measure the intensity of the field since the 1830s, but ever since then, its strength has been on the decline, having decreased by about 10% since it was first measured. Could there be a connection to what seems like a recent increase in earthquake activity?

Lunar Perigee

 Lunar Perigee will occur on March 19th, 2011 and refers to the fact that this is the closest the moon has ever gotten to the earth in the last 18 years. The actual distance between the moon and the earth on that day will be 356,577 km.

Concerns arise as a closer moon could mean more tides including so-called earth tides - actual shifting of the earth surface under influence from the moons proximity. Similar to water tides, these could technically cause enough shift of the earth’s surface to set of earthquakes and volcanoes.

Some astronomers are sure that this phenomenon will also cause climate change in additional to natural disasters.

Who was R. C. Christian?

On one of the highest hilltops in Elbert County, Georgia stands a huge granite monument. Engraved in eight different languages.The origin of that strange monument is shrouded in mystery because no one knows the true identity of the man, or men, who commissioned its construction. All that is known for certain is that in June 1979, a well-dressed, articulate stranger visited the office of the Elberton Granite Finishing Company and announced that he wanted to build an edifice to transmit a message to mankind. He identified himself as R. C. Christian, but it soon became apparent that was not his real name. He said that he represented a group of men who wanted to offer direction to humanity, but to date, over two decades later, no one knows who R. C. Christian really was.
